Dr Hannah Korrel (PhD) Practice Director & Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr Hannah Korrel is a Clinical Neuropsychologist, Neuroscientist, and published author with a PhD in neuropsychology. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology, First Class Honours), a Master of Clinical Neuropsychology, and a Doctor of Philosophy.
Before founding Sydney Neuropsychology, Dr Korrel was the Clinical Lead of the Neuropsychology service at Northern Beaches Hospital. She has also held academic appointments at several universities, including Macquarie University (Adjunct Fellow), the University of Melbourne, Federation University, and UTS. She is also an AHPRA-approved supervisor for Clinical Neuropsychologists.
Dr Korrel has substantial experience in comprehensive neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan. Her work includes assessments for intellectual disability, learning disorders, brain injuries, dementia, and other neurological conditions.
She has a particular interest in neurodivergence, especially ADHD and autism, including presentations in women and girls. Dr Korrel is trained in the ADOS-2, an internationally recognised tool used as part of best-practice autism assessments. She is also supervised by Professor Tony Attwood, a leading figure in autism research and clinical practice.
As a researcher, Dr Korrel’s PhD work on ADHD is internationally recognised and cited in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR) — one of the key reference texts for diagnosing mental health conditions worldwide.
Dr Korrel is passionate about helping clients and families better understand how the brain works and how to make practical changes to improve day-to-day life.
Emily Danson Psychologist, Registrar (Masters of Neuropsychology)
Emily Danson is a registrar psychologist currently completing her Clinical Neuropsychology endorsement. She holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) and is a key part of the team at Sydney Neuropsychology.
Emily has experience providing comprehensive cognitive assessments for a range of neurological and developmental conditions, including intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, and neurodegenerative disorders. She regularly works with clients seeking diagnostic clarity to support NDIS applications and tailored intervention planning.
Emily has a particular interest in neurodivergent conditions such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and is especially passionate about supporting women and girls who may present with more subtle or overlooked features. Her work is informed by evidence-based tools and a compassionate, strengths-focused approach.
Her Master’s research explored the impact of cognitive fatigue on thinking and attention. She was recognised with an Academic Excellence Award and was placed on the Dean’s List for her academic achievements.
Emily is supervised by Dr Hannah Korrel and engages in ongoing professional development as part of the Sydney Neuropsychology team.


Sarah Gilmore Practice Secretary
Sarah Gilmore is the first friendly voice you’ll hear when you contact Sydney Neuropsychology. As our Practice Secretary, she plays a vital role in making sure every client feels supported, informed, and welcomed from their very first enquiry.
With a strong background in disability support and a deep passion for mental health, Sarah brings genuine care and professionalism to each client interaction. She understands that organising an assessment can feel overwhelming, and she’s here to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology at Deakin University, Sarah is committed to building a future in neuropsychology and brings that same dedication to helping our clients access the services they need.
